You see a lot of online vendors advertising "refurbished" fuel injectors - usually at an temptingly low price. But what does refurbished actually mean? Typically, it means an injector has had the exterior cleaned and then tested to verify functionality. That's all.
Phoenix Technique Remanufactured injectors also have had the exterior cleaned and been tested to verify functionality. In between, though, our remanufactured injectors have been fully disassembled. The injector body and the internal components are cleaned and inspected. The electrical components of the injector are tested. Sealing faces and valve seats are resurfaced to restore proper function. Nozzles are replaced with brand new nozzles sourced from FIRAD in Italy, and the injectors reassembled within a Six Sigma based quality-centric production process.
Common Rail Injectors are complex components, relying on precise balance of fuel pressure, spring pressure, and fuel flow to deliver exact amounts of fuel at exactly the right time. Assembling an injector correctly requires precise measuring components - sometimes to within 0.005mm - and selecting springs and shims to tune each performance test point. We use a computer controlled measurement system that utilizes a Heidenhain linear encoder accurate to 0.0005mm to guarantee our injectors are built right the first time, every time.
Every Phoenix Technique injector is reassembled with 100% new seals and o-rings purchased from top European suppliers. We exclusively use nozzles supplied by FIRAD, an ISO 9001 certified company who have been a leading producer of diesel fuel system components since 1968.
