Most contemporary fuel injectors are "coded" . This means the injector's test results are used to create a unique code for each injector that is entered into the engine's Electronic Control Module at the time of installation. The ECM uses these codes to adjust the drive signal to each individual injector, "trimming" their final performance to give the best possible cylinder-to-cylinder balance in the running engine.
If you are testing injectors in the aftermarket, you can produce injector codes the easy way or the hard way. The easy way is to collect the codes from batches of tested OEM injectors, and use these to create a "look-up table" that you can use to pull an OEM code that best fits an injector you test. The hard way is to develop a coding program, at significant time and expense, that deciphers the OEM code and calculates the precise drive offsets required to balance the engine.
Phoenix Technique does it the hard way.
Why should you buy Phoenix Technique injectors? We put our effort into building the best possible injectors. No flashy website. No custom-printed boxes with glossy inserts. No hype. Phoenix Technique injectors look like every other refurbished or remanufactured injector on the market, and we're OK with that. Our product is superior because of what's on the inside, where you can't see it.
Unless you disassemble the injector - which voids any warranty.
